Kate Graves has been a bodywork therapist for 40 years with a strong background in clinical Western approaches (Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Myo-Fascial, IASTM, Lymph Drainage, Facilitated Stretching), Asian modalities (Acupressure, So-Tai, Shiatsu, Jin Shin Do, Thai-Yoga Bodywork), and Energy Work (Brennan Healing Science). Kate has taught experiential anatomy (100-hr. course) using the Zahourek method of clay-building and was on the faculty of the Community College of Vermont's Associate Degree Program in Massage Therapy, teaching Deep Tissue and Energy Work. In 2000, Kate graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, a 4-year international program for healing through the human energy field, and in June 2004 completed the Pathwork Transformation Program through Pathwork Vermont. Kate was also President and board member of the Vermont Massage Guild for 8 years. Kate Graves is a Registered Massage Therapist of Vermont, Lic. #164.0000154 and a Certified Member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals #131867.
Founder and CEO of Stowe Yoga Center and co-creator of Artist Within Retreats with Psychologist-Master Sharon Volansky-Gerard, RN, MA, Kate's movement background includes anatomy, kinesiology, dance, Continuum, Tai Chi, Kouk Sun Do, and yoga with the Integral Yoga Institute (NYC), David Swenson's Ashtanga Teacher Training, Kripalu's Chair Yoga Teacher Training with Lakshmi Voelker, and Chakra Yoga Teacher Training with Anodea Judith and Todd Norian. In addition to weekly gentle yoga classes, Kate offers a special series in Chakra Yoga & Art, Prenatal, Chair Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Healing (Stowe Sound Immersion). Custom classes for individuals and groups are also available.
